Marti Combs

I want to share my story in hopes of inspiring other estheticians who may be struggling to make ends meet, may feel hopeless, and may feel like giving up.
I want my fellow estheticians to be confident in investing in themselves - they are worth it.

Owner and Operator, Beauty in Boise

Marti Combs is Owner and Operator of Beauty in Boise while also serving as the Head Master Trainer for Elleebana USA. Nicknamed Martini, Marti describes herself as motivated, focused, and optimistic. As a mom she cherishes her alone time, but also enjoys going to the zoo with her husband and daughter.

“I started my career at a Master Esthetics program in Utah after years of struggling with my own skin issues. I have worked as an esthetics instructor, makeup artist, skincare product representative, laser technician, and lash artist before opening my own business this past July. I became frustrated with the medical spa environment pay structure: I would give 100% and my paycheck would only reflect 30%. I decided it was time to do what was best for me, my future, and for my family.

In the first two months of opening my own business, in what are typically the slowest months of the year, I grossed more than $13,000. I then reached out to Elleebana to become a lash lift trainer and after having much success with that, was just recently appointed the Head Master Trainer, overseeing all the of the current and future trainers in the US.

I want to share my story in hopes of inspiring other estheticians who may be struggling to make ends meet, may feel hopeless, and may feel like giving up. I want to tell them that success can happen, and that it's not too late. This industry can be extremely rewarding and surprising. I was terrified to go out on my own, even after having loads of experience under my belt, but now I'm booked eight weeks out with appointments already filling up well into the new year. I want my fellow estheticians to be confident in investing in themselves - they are worth it.”
