I was cast as Daddy Warbucks when I was 13 and was instantly hooked. I fell in love with being able to transport myself and an audience into another world.

Michael’s favorite quote is one from Carol Lawrence “You can’t be bored if you’re doing something that sets your soul on fire.”

“I was always a shy kid and so when my sister came home from middle school one day and said she was auditioning for the school musical Annie I thought I would too.  I was cast as Daddy Warbucks when I was 13 and was instantly hooked.  I fell in love with being able to transport myself and an audience into another world.  All of my experiences on stage have been so amazing; mostly because of all of the wonderful friends I have met!

Singing at the Lido in Paris was a magical experience.  Being in such a beautiful place and getting to see so much of Europe was such a blessing.  I danced in Las Vegas in Enter the Night at the Stardust and in Follies Bergere at the Tropicana which was a blast!  Vegas wasn’t a long term place for me but I had so much fun in those shows!  I think one of my favorite jobs of all time was dancing in Disneyland’s Main Street Electrical Parade as a Cinderella Ballroom dancer.  I was 19 and seeing thousands of happy faces EVERY night with the magical costumes, lights and music was something I will always hold near to my heart.  I went on to play other great characters for them like Aladdin.

A close second in favorites would be the National Broadway tour of CHICAGO the musical.  It was such an amazing show to be a part of but being in a different city almost every night was grueling! And I am happy to say I am still performing.  I just finished playing Ursula the Sea Witch in a production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid which was so fun and now I’m rehearsing for the role of Juan Peron in Evita! It gives me a great work life balance and a way to stay creative!”
