Ann Brown

I had several opportunities to jump out of the spa industry and never once have I thought about them because the spa industry is a constant learning, growing, and intention oriented business.
I was working on my MBA and decided I might want to open a day spa in Palm Beach, Florida.

Founder, Saltabilty

Ann Brown is the founder of Saltability. She was born in Toronto, Canada and will soon be relocating to Boca Raton, Florida from Lake Ozark, MO. This 22-year spa veteran used to race old muscle cars in high school and college and her favorite read is Key to Yourself by Venice Bloodworth.

“PGA National was certainly meant to be a very part time job.  I was working on my MBA and decided I might want to open a day spa in Palm Beach, Florida.  I went to nail technician school after getting my business degree and landed at PGA National working two days a week to watch and see how the largest resort spa in the US (at that time) ran so I could take some good notes and do that in my day spa.

I met my mentor there, Anne Bramham, in a complimentary reflexology class. Anne really knew how to connect the dots of wellness, intention, reconnecting, and healing.  I watched her give everyone the same opportunity in classes as me (to change me) and not many did which I found very unusual.  I had some minor health concerns in my early 20’s and she really helped me to take the natural route and some ownership of my health.

First, I got physically healthy and then I started to work out the emotional side of me.  I knew I had to stay in this industry. It has given so much back to me and I have learned so much. I then decided to go to esthetics school and massage school and later cosmetology school.  I had several opportunities to jump out of the spa industry and never once have I thought about them because the spa industry is a constant learning, growing, and intention oriented business.”
