There is no one else I would rather be in this with than my family. We wouldn't have it any other way
I have been an entrepreneur all my life and it has always involved having my family in the business.

President and Co-Owner, Luxury Therapeutics

Debra Hedden resides in Franklin, North Carolina as the President and Co-owner of Luxury Therapeutics. This lover of cooking and wood-fired oven pizza loves to go on a picnic in her spare time, but nothing comes before her family bond that goes deeper than most.

“I have been an entrepreneur all my life and it has always involved having my family in the business. Back in the 80's my mother and I owned a drapery workroom together. When the downturn in the economy forced me to close the interior design business I adored, I knew I needed to find another business for myself, as well as my mother. She has fibromyalgia, and had always made heat packs from our left over designer fabrics. When people saw her packs, they wanted one. An idea was forming…at first my mother thought I was crazy, but eventually she turned her sewing machine back on. Our dream was born!

My three daughters continue the tradition working together as a family, along with my mother who is 76 and co-owner. My oldest daughter, Jennifer, works with us in marketing and sales. My middle daughter, Lauren, helps us with graphic design and the youngest, Morgan, jumps in where needed and fills heat packs. Of course, there are difficulties working together, after all, who knows you better than your family? There are days when we are totally frustrated with each other, but I have to say, there is also joy in accomplishing this as a team. There is no one else I would rather be in this with than my family. We wouldn't have it any other way.”
