Patrick Huey

“I've seen up close and personal some of the greats of the game: Nadal, Federer, Serena, Djokovic, Murray, Wawrinka.”
“The coolest thing I’ve done in Asia so far was seeing baby sharks swimming in the waters of the Maldives."

Patrick Huey picked up his life in the Caribbean as Corporate Director of Spas, Fitness and Tennis at Red Lane Spas to move across the world to Bangkok, Thailand, to take on his current role. He’s already enjoyed some memorable experiences in his short time in Bangkok.

“The coolest thing I’ve done in Asia so far was seeing baby sharks swimming in the waters of the Maldives. I also had this amazing body service at the Kempinski Spa called Autumn. During the massage (and this is one of the few times I recall this happening), my mind actually shut down and I lost track of time, space etc. It was truly amazing.”

Born and bred in Texas, Huey received his Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University, where he created his own degree, which was a combination of English, theater and sociology. He also received a Masters of Fine Arts from the Yale School of Drama in the acting program. In his free time, Huey enjoys playing the piano, saxophone and tennis.

“I've been playing tennis now for almost four years. My favorite memory has been going to the Miami Open every year since 2009. I've seen up close and personal some of the greats of the game: Nadal, Federer, Serena, Djokovic, Murray, Wawrinka.”

One of Huey’s proudest accomplishments was the implementation of the Red Lane Institute, a training program that allowed Red Lane spas to standardize the training of therapists across the Caribbean.

“I am passionate about development, particularly of black youth. That was one of the driving motivations for me when we launched the Red Lane Institute for Sandals Resorts - how do we create opportunities for people and communities who would otherwise have limited exposure.”
