Suzan Zahedi

“I am a proponent of practical wisdom in considering the future.”
“I have always been creative and inspired about life, patterns and textures around me.”

Owner, Studio Suzan

Suzan Zahedi, a California-based jewelry designer, has been designing and handcrafting jewelry since she was 15. Also a single mom to two teenage girls and mentor to young women, Suzan’s everyday can bring about any and every human emotion possible.

Her jewelry is an elegant mix of simplicity, originality, and juxtaposition. It tells the stories of life’s beautiful remnants and serves to add beauty to the complex wonder of being a woman.

Studio SUZAN, Suzan’s jewelry company, was created in response to the designer’s will to turn to her faith resulting from a string of unfortunate childhood circumstances. Because her life story required inspiration, courage and passion to overcome the trials that she faced, those are the three words Suzan uses to describe herself.

“I have always been creative and inspired about life, patterns and textures around me,” Suzan said. “Through the worst trials in my life, the seeds of hope are maintained when I see the amazing resilience of the human spirit.”

Suzan is passionate about helping and mentoring young women and women who have a history of abuse. She speaks and mentors in Orange County to teen moms through an organization called FRISTERS, as well as a ministry called Young Women of Vision which unites Christian mothers and high school daughters through love.

“Being a part of these organizations allows me to use my life experiences and faith to encourage and give others hope,” Suzan says. “I love teaching life skills classes and workshops in my community.”

She states that juggling life as a single mom and business owner takes balance and peace, recommending young people embrace their skill sets and talk with professionals to understand the reality of the jobs they hope to have.

“In this culture, you have to have a well-rounded skill-set and a lot of money to make it in the creative field,” Suzan says. “I am a proponent of practical wisdom in considering the future.”

Her jewelry collection reflects her love of natural beauty…made with loving hands.
